Today we bring you a dish made with two ingredients very versatile, which can be used in numerous medical preparations. Ingredients for 2 people
- Canned peas – 50 grams
- White rice – 100 grams
- Chicken broth – 350 ml
- Chicken breast – 150 grams
- Carrot – 1 unit
- Green beans – 50 grams
- Salt – to taste
- Saffron – 0.1 gram
- Tomato sauce – 2 tablespoons
- Onion – 1 unit
- Cloves of garlic – 2 units
- Black pepper – to taste
- Olive oil – 3 tablespoons
How to make the Rice recipe with Chicken & Peas
- To begin, peel and slice finely the onion and the garlic cloves. Heat the oil in a frying pan, and, when you pick up heat, add the garlic and the chopped onion. Saute, over medium heat, until tender.
- Peel and slice the carrot into small pieces. We will add it to the pan. We removed the tips to the beans, and cut them in medium pieces, we added them also to the pan.
- We heat the chicken broth in a saucepan so that it is hot when you have to take to the pan.
- While we cook the vegetables, cut the chicken breast into thick slices. When the vegetable is tender, add the chicken pieces to the pan and continue cooking.
- When the chicken has picked up a little color, add to the skillet the tomato sauce, the pepper, the salt and the saffron. Mix. Pour in the pan the chicken broth hot.
- When the chicken broth starts to boil, add the rice. Cook until the rice has absorbed almost all the water and is tender.
- 5 minutes before the end of cooking, add to the pan the green peas, cooked and drained and stir. Serve hot.
